P-38 Lightning silhouette embroidered on our superior 7oz heavyweight pigment-dyed 100% cotton Pique Polo/Golf Shirt. These
shirts are preshrunk and ringspun for incredible softness and go through a special dyeing process in order to stay soft and get just the right color.
The shirts
have a flat-knit collar and cuffs; taped neck and side vents; 3-button placket with horn tone buttons;
double-needle stitching throughout. This is the top of the line.
These P-38 Lightning Polo shirts are dyed using the expensive pigment dying process. This means they are pre-washed with a phosphate free detergent. They are then washed again with a cationic pretreat to allow the
garments to accept the pigment dye. Pigments will not dye cotton without the pretreatment .
The pigment dye and an acrylic binder are added to the dye bath. It is then heated to exhaust the pigment dyes onto the garments.
After dying, the garments are scoured, softened, and dried.
Preshrunk pigment-dyed pique develops easygoing character through repeated wear and washings.
The dye process infuses each garment with unique characterincluding slight color variations in production and washing.
