For "Airport Christmas", the guys in the tower were nice
enough to let me put up my little fake tree in the window. I carried a
handheld to let them know when to turn the lights on, and was able to
hear all of the interesting comments they received. A Christmas tree in
the tower, in April? They explained it to the pilots while cautioning
them to avoid the photographer standing in the taxiway, waiting for the
sun to go down. The lights were so dim that by the time any of them
exposed, the rest of the frame was black. As I walked back to the
tower, I heard an airplane singing "Oh Christmas Tree..." from
the radio in my hand. -- Roger
